Fraser First Booster Club is pleased to announce that on September 20, 2016 the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Michigan adopted a resolution awarding a grant in the amount of $42,000.00 to the Fraser First Booster Club for support of a universally designed interactive piece of playground equipment to be installed at Mc Kinley Barrier Free Park in Macomb County. The grant is through the Detroit Auto Dealers Association Charitable Foundation Endowment Fund of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Michigan. The grant will support the installation of the “Sway Fun” which is an accessible piece of the play structure which is an intrinsic benefit of inclusive play for all children. The grant support will provide a piece of equipment that will foster the development of balance, coordination, strength and spatial awareness. Fraser First Booster Club founded in 2010 is a non-profit organization that supports City of Fraser McKinley Barrier Free Park to design and implement an interactive, creative, educational barrier free park that supports inclusive play for all individuals regardless of their physical or mental limitations. A place where ALL children can recreate equally and have a sense of place.
